CAN-SPAM

A U.S. law passed in 2003 that prohibits businesses from emailing without permission. An unsubscribe option must be included in all emails and names can not be added to it without expressed permission. The acronym stands for Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing.
